Notice the urge. Choose again.
A private, free space for anyone doing NoFap, or cutting down on porn and masturbation, at their own pace and without shame. Urge AI helps you see what sits underneath the urge, and build something better in its place.
an urgeTap. You don’t have to decide anything yet.

Other apps count your days. Urge AI helps you understand your nights. Most quit apps count, block, watch or chat. Urge AI helps you notice the moment, write one line before and after, and see the pattern underneath.
Four small steps, at your own pace.
The first weeks are for noticing, not stopping. Change comes when you are ready, and Urge AI asks you when that is.
Tap when it hits
A red button for the hard moment. A timer, your own words from last time, and a small challenge, different every time.
One line before, one after
If you still go ahead, write what you are telling yourself first. Afterwards, a few taps on what was going on.
See your pattern
Your Inner Map shows the triggers, the drivers and the sentences you keep telling yourself.
Build something better
Plan your hardest hour and take on small challenges made from your own pattern.
A picture of what is really going on.
Every note you write adds to it. Over a few weeks, Urge AI shows you things that are hard to see from inside a single night.
- Triggers: the hours, places and situations it usually comes with
- Core drivers: loneliness, stress, boredom, sleep, whatever sits underneath
- What you tell yourself: the sentences that come just before
- Healing and actions: the parts of life to strengthen, with small steps for this week
A slip is information about one evening. Not a verdict on you.
Most apps wipe your streak the moment you slip, and that is often when one slip becomes a whole night. In Urge AI, your calendar keeps every day you held. A slip shows in red with a note, but nothing is wiped, and the brightest days are the ones where you rode an urge out.
Put something better in the hardest hour.
Urge AI finds the hour your urges usually come, and what the urge is really after then: company, rest, relief. Then it helps you plan something that gives you that first.
- Challenges made from your own pattern, like one real conversation on lonely Sundays
- Small, quiet badges for things you did, like urges ridden out and honest notes
- Add any plan to your calendar in one tap
Built from what people asked for, and did not get.
We read thousands of reviews of the apps in this space. These are the gaps that came up again and again.
Before you start
Is Urge AI free?
Yes, during early access. Everything in it works without paying or signing up.
Who can see what I write?
Only you. Without an account, your notes stay in your browser. With an account, they are stored in a private space only you can open, separate from everything else.
Is this therapy?
No. Urge AI is a self-help tool. If you have tried many times and it is costing you work, sleep or a relationship, a licensed therapist is an ordinary next step, and we say so inside the app too.
Does it block websites?
No. Blockers can help as friction, and you can use one alongside Urge AI. Urge AI is the part that helps you understand why the urge arrives.
Do I need to quit completely?
No. You choose: stop, cut down, or understand it better. You can change your answer whenever you like.
Is there research behind it?
Urge AI has not been tested in a trial, and neither has any other app in this space. It is built on what the research on relapse, urges and habit change points to, and we wrote about what that research does and does not show in our guide to NoFap apps.
